Audrey II Puppeteer

Toryn is pleased to join the cast of Little Shop of Horrors as the puppeteer for Audrey II! Raised in Saskatoon, Toryn has been involved in local theatre and dance since the age of four. Most recently seen on stage as Columbia in PPL R PPL’s 2017 production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Ms. Adams has contributed choreography and assistant directorial support for other local productions through PPL R PPL, the Saskatoon Summer Players, and the GSCS. Toryn is thrilled to be jumping into PPL R PPL’s fall season with Audrey II, and remember, whatever they offer you, don’t feed the plants!

Ricardo is a local theatre artist, and proud to be a part of Saskatoon's vibrant theatre scene! He is the co-founder of ‘PPL R PPL Productions', an avid member of Artists Against Hunger, and spends his spare time playing with paint and pretending to be a grown up. Ricardo believes in love and laughter and imagination, and is determined to bring a little more of all the above in to the world. Up Next: WROL (ASM, Persephone Theatre). Amanda Brown

Puppet Designer

Amanda is a freelance makeup artist and costume designer based in Saskatoon. She has a soft spot in her heart for campy movie monsters and has had quite a few strange looks from her neighbours while working on “Twoey”. Amanda has been part of the makeup team for PPL R PPL’s production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Head of Makeup Design for Saskatoon Summer Player’s productions of Annie, Footloose, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Working alongside Laura Crossman, this dynamic duo has created wardrobe for Saskatoon Opera’s Die Fledermaus, and the puppets for PPL R PPL’s Avenue Q.

Set & Lighting Design

Shaun is excited to be working with PPL R PPL on Little Shop of Horrors. Recent selected design credits include: Avenue Q - Set and Lights and The Rocky Horror Show - Lighting (PPL R PPL), Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Fiddler on the Roof- Set and Lighting (STJ Theatre), and Rent - Lighting (SSP). Shaun currently teaches band, choir and technical theatre at St. Joseph High School. Shaun lives in Saskatoon with his wife Natasha and four children. Enjoy the show!

Puppet Design

Laura is very proud to be part of PPL R PPL Productions and share the title of Puppet Designer and Creator along with Amanda Brown. The duo worked together in 2018 to create the puppets for PPL R PPL’s production of Avenue Q. Laura also designed costumes for Rocky Horror Show (2017) and for other local theatre companies such as the Saskatoon Opera (Die Fledermaus), Saskatoon Summer Players (Annie, Grease & You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown). Laura also spends her time working as Wardrobe and Set Decorator for local film projects and working on her clothing line, Whiskey Teacup.

Vocal Coach

Meaghan is excited to be apart of PPL R PPL Production of "Little Shop of Horrors" as Vocal Director! She is currently working as a piano and voice teacher out of her home. She is entering her 22nd year with the Fireside Singers. She just recently was in the Fireside Singers Productions of Evita (Chorus), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Congregation), Pippin (Berthe), Wizard Of Oz (Auntie Em), along with PPL R PPL Production of Avenue Q (Vocal Coach), and SSP’s production of Grease (Chorus, Radio Singer) and is looking forward to Into the Woods (Stepmother).

Recently, Courtney closed War Room (Floyd Theatre) at Fringe, as well as finishing Avenue Q (PPL R PPL) earlier this year. She thanks you for coming and hopes you enjoy watching as much as she enjoyed helping bring it to life!

Zach Greenhorn

Sound Designer

Zach is happy to back working on another production with PPL R PPL. Recent theatre credits include Les Miserables - Sound Design/Mix (STJ theatre), Footloose - Sound Design/Projection Design (SSP), Sweeney Todd - Sound Design (SSP) and Avenue Q - Sound Design/ Mix (PPL R PPL). Zach currently works as Head of Production Audio at CTV Saskatoon, in addition to his company Zeroframe Production doing Live Sound, Lighting and Video Production. Outside of the theatre world, Zach has mixed Big Sugar, Glorious Sons, Bleeker, The Northern Pikes and War, among others, as well as lighting for Harlequin.


Andrea Jansen

Hair & Wig Designer/Dresser

Andrea spent the first decade of her career immersed in the theatre world working for Persephone from 2001-2010. She graduated from Marvel School of Cosmetology in 2003. Currently she is behind her chair full time while collaborating on as many photo shoots as she can. LSOH is her debut as a lead stylist on a show. She hopes you all enjoy!

Keith Johnson

Assistant Stage Manager

Keith is excited to have the opportunity to work backstage on Little Shop of Horrors with PPL R PPL. He has a love for theatre and volunteers much of his free time to the arts at various venues in Saskatoon. He has found skills from his job as a substitute teacher transfer very well in the backstage world. Keith hopes you enjoy the magic of the revolve as much as he enjoys spinning it! Warning: Don't feed the plants!

Kieran Johnston


Kieran is thrilled to be working with the wonderful PPL R PPL Productions group for the second time! He will be showcasing his vocals and legs as Seymour Krelbourne in this production of Little Shop of Horrors. Design, Marketing & Public Relations

Zac is thrilled to be back with PPL R PPL for a second year! Zac has been designing professionally for over 15 years. Although he takes a behind the scenes role for Little Shop of Horrors he is no stranger to the stage. His recent theatre credits include: Avenue Q (Princeton), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Hedwig, Director, Choreographer, Producer), The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon (Producer), Hairspray (Fender, Director, Choreographer, Vocal Coach).

Celeste Nicholson


Celeste has done multiple shows with SSP, Shadow Players and Greystone. However, She is most known for her debut lead role Rusty in Footloose (SSP). When Celeste is not doing theatre she works as a character performer for Enchanted Garden Character Company, as many different princesses and other lovable characters. Celeste is moving to Toronto, ON January 2020, and is delighted that she gets to perform one last time in her hometown. She is jazzed for her first show with PPL R PPL, and honoured to be sharing the stage with so much talent!

Audrey II Voice

Rob is excited to have the opportunity to be the voice of Audrey II in his debut performance with PPL R PPL. He holds a Bachelor of Education Degree in Arts Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre where he focused his studies on theatrical history. He is a teacher with Saskatoon Public Schools where he is able to bring his love of theatre into the classroom. He was most recently seen playing Rooster Hannigan in Saskatoon Summer Player’s 2018 production of Annie. He hopes that you the show!

Tara Oliver

Make Up Designer

Tara is thrilled to be part of the PPL R PPL team for Little Shop of Horrors as the Makeup Designer. Tara fills predominately administrative rolls in the theatre world, but loves when she has a chance to get her hands dirty (mainly full of paint and glitter). Tara’s makeup credits include: Makeup Designer for Shrek the Musical (Saskatoon Summer Players), Cabaret (Saskatoon Summer Players), and The Rocky Horror Show (PPL R PPL Productions).

Siarra Riehl


Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Siarra currently splits her time between teaching voice at the Saskatoon Academy of Music, working on her MFA in Writing at Vermont College of Fine Arts, and planning her wedding with her fiancé Claire and their cat, Ebenezer. Siarra has performed with Saskatoon Opera, Free Flow Dance Theatre, and Saskatoon Summer Players. Her most recent role was Meg March in SSP’s Little Women. Siarra is excited to make her PPL R PPL Productions debut in Little Shop of Horrors and to share the stage with this multifaceted and talented group of artists.

Jordan Sherling

Assistant Stage Manager

Jordan was first introduced to theatre in his first year of high school when he joined the light and sound group to build sets. He continued to build sets and was the audio assistant for St. Joseph High School plays; Fiddler on the Roof and Jesus Christ Superstar. Jordan did mic’ing for Summer Player's Annie and was a stage hand. He also did mic’ing for Summer Players’ Footloose. He assisted in building the sets for Avenue Q and Sweeney Todd. In Grade 11 he took the role as Stage Manager for St. Joseph's Les Miserables.

Kelsey Stone


Kelsey trained at La Danse in Saskatoon. Kelsey has participated in many exams, competed in different festivals across Canada and performed in musicals around the country. She is currently the Musical Theatre and acrobatic instructor at La Danse and has received many awards for her groups and solos. Kelsey has also choreographed several productions for Fireside Singers; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Aida, Christmas Memories, Beauty and the Beast, Oliver! Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Wizard of OZ, Pippin, The Hunchback of Notre Dam, Evita. She has also starred in Saskatoon Summer Players productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), RENT (Maureen) and Cabaret (Sally). The Last Five Years (Cathy) was PPL R PPL Productions' first production followed by The Rocky Horror Show (Choreographer) and Avenue Q (Kate Monster, choreographer). Kelsey is determined to grow and foster the love for dance and musical theatre in Saskatchewan and especially help people gain confidence through the arts.

Elaine Thaller

Mrs. Mushnik

Elaine has been involved in the music and theatre scene for over 40 years. She sings with Saskatoon Chamber Singers, and has been involved in many Summer Players and Gateway Players shows in the distant past. Her last significant roles were in Gateway’s productions of Nunsense and Nunsense II in which she played Sister Hubert and Sister Robert Anne. In 1999, Elaine moved to Toronto where she sang mainly in beautiful churches, just like a nun! She is thrilled to be making her theatre comeback as Mrs. Mushnik. Thanks for the opportunity!

Retired from various positions in health care, Linda spends her time with family, music and theatre. She enjoys seeking out props in sometimes unexpected places and is constantly in awe of the talented cast, crew and production members she has met. Each director puts a unique signature on their productions...could there be bling on skid row???

Craig Gordon Watson


Craig has been performing since the age of 8, when he fell in love with the stage appearing in Lethbridge Musical Theatre’s “Oliver!” He then became a recurring player and appeared in such productions as “The Sound Of Music”, Anne of Green Gables”, “Camelot”, and “Annie Get Your Gun”. Craig has graced stages across Canada before settling into Saskatoon and appearing in SSP’s “Cabaret” and “Annie” as well as PPL R PPL’s “Rocky Horror Show” and “Avenue Q”. Craig is thrilled to be working with PPL R PPL once again in this one of a kind production of “ Little Shop of Horrors”

Matthew Praksas

Rehearsal Pianist/Keyboard 1

After completing his B.Mus.Ed. at the U of S with Bonnie Nicholson in 2018, Matthew was hired at the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra as the Outreach Coordinator this past January. When not urging people to experience listening to our amazing orchestra, he is teaching a private studio of piano students of many ages. His collaborations have recently allowed him to perform at the Saskatoon Opera’s Home for the Holidays with Chris Donlevy in December, and with good friend Angela Gjurichanin in her hometown of Prilep, Macedonia this summer. This is Matthew’s second production with PPL R PPL.

Doug Gilmour

Music Director

Doug trained as a saxophonist and band teacher so it’s perfectly natural for him to be playing bass and music directing after retiring from school administration. He’s music directed for the musicals Rent, Avenue Q, and The Producers as well as several Broadway Bashes. You can also hear him performing with the Fireside Singers, The Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra, Solstice, TrioJazz, Saskatoon Concert Band, and conducting groups in the Saskatoon Community Band organization.

Darrell Buekert

Drums & Percussion

Percussionist Darrell Bueckert has been active on the Canadian prairie music scene for the past 35 years. He has performed with many professional organizations including both the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra where he is Principal Timpanist. He has played for internationally known conductors and performers, Broadway musicals and touring ballets, as well as local choirs and theatre groups, like Ppl r Ppl. When Darrell is not performing he is busy with a small recording business (Seashell Sound Productions), a private teaching studio, and as Applied Percussion Instructor and Sessional Lecturer in Music Education at the University of Saskatchewan. Darrell is happy to be back for this year’s production of Little Shop, after the thrilling run of Avenue Q last year.

Wes Froese


Wes Froese was raised in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and studied piano at university in Regina and Saskatoon. He enjoys all aspects of music making; performing, writing, teaching, and recording. He performs with the Saskatoon community ensemble, Eclipse Chorus, and the jazz trio called Frozen Cod. He authored the educational CD/Book project Starting With Blues. Wes’s keyboard compositions can be found in From Prairie to Pine, CNCM Northern Lights and Pianozazz (Debra Wanless Music). Wes also works in long term care, as a recreation coordinator specializing in music. As far as he is concerned, there are few things better than playing and singing.

Graham Pritchard


Graham Pritchard is an Arts Education and Band Specialist with Saskatoon Public Schools. Focusing on guitar, Graham earned degrees in both Education and Music Education from the U of S. On guitar, he has performed in many musicals including “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Rent”, “Evita”,” and Ave. Q”. Graham regularly performs with his own Jazz Trio, the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra, and other Saskatoon ensembles. Outside of music, Graham enjoys leading an active lifestyle through running, strength training, yoga and dance. Graham is honoured to perform for “Little Shop of Horrors”.
